This introductory writing course; will cover all fundamental principles of writing, and will stress the three stages of the writing process (prewriting, writing, and rewriting). Grammar exercises will supplement writing instruction to provide you a review of current usage

 PE 101 is an open laboratory physical fitness course designed to develop and encourage positive attitudes and habits with regard to cardiovascular efficiency, body composition, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility. Students are assessed in these areas and an individual fitness profile is established. 

 This course includes the practical applications of concepts and techniques used in managing personal finances. Major areas of study include financial planning, budgeting, credit use, housing, insurance, investments, and retirement planning 

 Stattistics 101 is an introductory course in statistics intended for students in a wide variety of areas of study. Topics discussed include displaying and describing data, the normal curve, regression, probability, statistical inference, confidence intervals, and hypothesis tests with applications in the real world 

 This course provides a study of religion and the nature of religious beliefs and practices and their influence on culture, history and philosophy 

 Identify patterns in bonding, molecular geometry, and chemical reactions. Explain the physical properties of solids, liquids, gases, and solutions. Understand the principles of kinetics and thermodynamics as applied to the rates and equilibrium positions of chemical reactions 

 Students will investigate biological concepts including the chemical basis of life, cell structure and function, metabolism, reproduction, genetics, evolution, biological diversity and classification, plant structure and function, animal structure and function and ecology 

Music theory 101 is a review of music fundamentals including note and rhythm reading, scales, intervals, triads and seventh chords. Music Theory 101 studies harmonic progression, cadences, and beginning part writing 

 In this elementary level course, students will develop an understanding of grammar concepts. Through textbook-based activities, written assignments, reading activities, and speech acts, students will practice grammatical forms and new vocabulary in guided, meaningful settings. 

 In this course, students will be introduced to the fundamental communication skills: understanding, speaking, reading, and writing, as well as to some cultural aspects of the Luso-Brazilian world.
